This is a track i've been working on for the last 30 minutes - it's only the bare bones, and stops abruptly after about a minute and a half. The plan is to have Yoshi from the band sing along with the main melody (she has an amazing voice, and it'll sound awesome - i'll provide frantic spazzy vocals in parts).
I present :
That Guy From That Movie With Wesley Snipes
The main melody (originally it was just the choppy bit) was created when I decided to place random notes all over the place - it seemed to work, and for the chorus type bit it was easy to fill the rest in.
I'm a little unsure about the settings that I used with AudioRealism Bassline (maybe to squelchy - it also needs to be a little louder.
If I fill it out a little, iron a few problems out, and if the guitars and vocals go as well as I hope with this track, this might end up on our 7".

I still have yet to here any treasure island dizzy with singing. "LETS PLAY DIZZY".
We're rehearsing vocals, guitars, and other onstage stuffs between January and the middle of March - we'll use the rest of March to record a few tracks, before a UK tour and then a mini US tour (as many gigs in as many days we're there).
I might shell out £150 for a decent mic, though - I can lay down my spazzy vocals, and sing the bits I want Yoshi to sing whilst she is unavailable, and to give her a general idea of how the lyrics fit in. The lyrics for this one are fantastic, in my opinion - it's about being a bit-part actor in a Wesley Snipes movie. IT'S ONE BIG METAPHOR FOR LOVE, and the closest we'll ever get to a love song. It'd be creepy having Yoshi and I sing songs about our relationship.
THIS IS A LONG REPLY, DOCTOR DYSLEXIA.
Was that going to be the theme for Chuckie Egg 3? :D
No such thing as too squelchy..
I like it. Unless you were planning a bridge or solos you could just repeat the B section to fade.
US tour? are you going through or around Oregon?
Well we're definitely playing The Smell in LA for our 7" launch, and then we've been offered a few gigs around the country. I'd like to play in Oregan somewhere, so i'll work out how to do so.
That's freakin awesome.
I like this a lot! It's nice in a cheesy stylophone kind of way and the squelching works nicely AND THEN IT CUTS OUT AND I GET ANGRY AND SMASH THINGS!
More please.
